I have just returned from a profound experience in Rishikesh India, the birth place of Yoga. There, I learned what Yoga actually is. Which is far beyond how people look in their yoga tights or asana selfies. Yoga is not just a practice of asanas but it is a way of life which is very dear to my heart, as it has literally changed my life. I look forward to sharing and holding space for others to experience.
For this place of home, peace and remembering, is naturally to be embodied by all. Literally into your own body and out into stillness and beyond. Welcomed home.

Day 3 of #createspaceforpositivity is a hip opener! #Dragonflypose is (at least for me), the king of hip openers 😅. ⠀

I really surprised myself with dragonfly today. It dips in and out of my practice, and I wasn’t expecting it to be accessible after a long run in the cold yesterday. Even normally, I have a long torso and tight outer hips, so this asana is lot of spinal flexion and hip opening for me. It’s a beast!⠀

After an hour of opening my hips and spine work in my own flow, and teaching a few classes, I figured I would give it a shot. Interestingly it was here for me today, and without the support of my second elbow too! Breakthroughs! I can definitely feel how my handstand practice has allowed me to build stability in arm balances too ☺️.⠀

Three things I’m grateful for: ⠀
⠀
1) For my body that allows me to work in a job I love- I would be able to do long hours in PCA work or teach fitness without a strong body, so I’m thankful. I sometimes take it for granted. ⠀

2) My yoga students who always challenge and support me as a teacher. ⠀
⠀
3) The minneapolis forecast this weekend. After a looooong winter, 60 degrees is going to feel AMAZING. I’m so ready!⠀
