#feedback 📝📱 ✍🏻🗣
Hjernen 🧠 husker nogen gange - kroppen husker alt.
One day at a time ...... that’s how I’m going about my recovery 💪🏼 -shoulders are feeling good-
I am pulling weight from the floor , doing push ups and now hanging from the pull up bar. I just did my first set of “toes 2 bar” while I was in Denver CO and they felt great however I was sore as fuck the next day. 😂
- were going to be adding in tons of accessory work and building work to strengthen all things shoulders , lats , scapula and traps before we start do doing any dynamic/ high skill movements. - gotta listen to your coach...... huh @thenickfowler 😁
My recovery continues and I’m not mad about it. 📸: @marzmedia - from my recent trip to visit @purespectrumhemp
💥Sprained your wrist? Hurts when you try to do push ups, handstands, front squats and cleans? Finding wrist extension limited and painful? as painful as my pain face?💥
Sprained wrists are painful, disabling and the truth is, takes quite a long time for these injuries to heal. It took me at least 3 months before I could front squat comfortably without any wrist wraps! It’s a frustrating injury, but here are some #physiotreats to help progress you to your next PB!
💡Banded wrist extension mobility: this mobilisation technique is based on a physio treatment method, and it’s super effective🙏the KEY point here is that it should reduce pain by at least 50% when doing the banded drill, if it doesn’t, or makes it WORSE ➡️STOP! Go see a decent physio who can show you how to modify it to suit you...(make sure they don’t hook you up to some electro physical thingy like ultrasound, or worse, tell you to stop training altogether🤦♂️) Get a band, wrap it around something stable on one side, and close to your wrist on the other. The band should pull toward your thumb side! Maintain tension in the band and move forwards and backwards. 💡scale your training! Just because you can’t do a regular push up (yet), it doesn’t mean you can’t do something similar! Try placing a small folded towel under the base of your palm when doing a push up, it reduces the wrist extension required. Or try doing it with your wrist in neutral (on knuckles). 💡while you are on your rehab journey, you may need a wrist wrap to help give some support/compression! I personally found that I could still train the front squats and cleans with no problem when I used wrist wraps while recovering! Check out the TWL wrist wraps from @thewodlife!
You have to be patient with this one, see what works and what doesn’t, but most importantly, keep moving! Give these #physiotreats a try and see how you get on!🏋️♂️
