#tbt (on Tuesday, haha) to when I was in #Kyoto with one of my favorite people on earth, my Japanese best friend! Love #arashiyama. This place is breathtaking. It's a lovely blend of traditional and modern, with plenty of restaurants and gift shops, not to mention, the amazing view of the river and mountains. At the top of the mountain is Monkey Park, which is exactly what it sounds like! 🐵There is now an owl cafe a ways down the road from the river, as well, which I don't believe was there 5 years ago! #日本#嵐山#京都#Japan#japantravel#travel#mountains#river
I think this photo not only be used to describe Tōkyō, but Japan as a whole. It is a country rooted deep within its rich and vibrant history, but at the same time a country that is always striving forward technologically, a step ahead of any other country. Its a country where you can feel like you are in the 1600's and 100 years in the future at the same time.
Japan, thank you for an unforgettable past month and a bit. Hopefully it won't be long before I'm back for a third time.
