✨Since I started using a project management system in my business, I found myself suddenly with a lot more free time. One of the things I’ve been doing with said free time is revisiting my pattern style sheet. Even though I’ve been designing and writing patterns for four years now, there is always room to improve. I know that my patterns are good (each one goes through tech editing and test knitting to ensure that they are legible and produce the same results as my sample!), but I know there are things I can tweak to make a knitter’s experience just a tiny bit better. So that is what I’ve been doing - finding the areas to tweak and really getting into the details.
✨I’m curious Fibre Muses, what elevates a pattern from a good one to a great one? I would love to hear your thoughts!
🌈Calling all Dreamer Fibre Muses! The Wifty Top drops this Friday as a single pattern on Ravelry. Do you know what “wifty” means? It’s another word for eccentric. Dreamers are very much eccentric Fibre Muses, with their bold and lively color choices. This pattern celebrates their need to express their creativity and love for their craft through color with an interesting construction in a stitch pattern that allows variegated, speckled, stippled and other types of color ways to shine. Eccentricity is the new normal.

It’s taken a bit longer than I anticipated to get this beauty completed but she is finally off my needles and blocked properly, though unnamed at the moment. I’m currently working on finalizing the pattern and will be looking for a few lovely folks to #testknit it for me in the coming weeks...stay tuned!
