Flora Lake Loop Trail + Flora Peak
Yesterday Meaghan and I completed the Flora Lake Loop Trail, which goes from the Lindeman trailhead up past Flora Peak (we added a trip up to the peak and back), down to Flora Lake, past Greendrop, and then down and out via Lindeman. We covered approx. 22 km of ground and only encountered 3 other hikers the whole day.
The section of trail between Flora Lake and Greendrop was very overgrown in most places, and laden with obvious bear activity with many boulder fields to traverse along the way. Yesterday's hike might have won a place in our top 3 weirdest adventures together (for reasons undisclosed 😂), just below the time we were almost kidnapped in Molenbeek. Sorry mom.
I never want this to stop. 😞 But only a few more weeks until back to school... Who else here has school / work / other commitments and can't explore the world full time?! Do you wish you could travel full time?

#MariTip 41: The purpose of Instagram pages like mine are to INSPIRE you, not to make you jealous! Many people think I travel full time but I actually go to school for majority of the year... I just have enough photos to post throughout the year 😂. And you don't need to quit that 9-5 job to be happy travelling. The important thing is to have a balance! There are many people who have a balance between their regular life at home and travelling to other areas and they are very happy. You don't need to quit your 9-5 in order to be happy, unless you really hate it... then you need a new job😂. But I will never sit here and try to convince you to quit your 9-5 because I'm in it. That's my future. But I have created the balance and that's what you need as well.
Now don't get me wrong, many people do quit their 9-5 and travel full time and they are very happy doing it. If you have the potentional, drive, and support, and that is what you want, go for it! Otherwise, balance is key 🗝

Missing beautiful BC 😍
I’m heading out to my friend’s cottage on the ocean this weekend & can’t wait to soak in ocean views 💦
Still, I don’t think the water will be quiet as magical as the alpine lakes in southern BC ⛰
