I wanted something a little extra after my core workout this morning, and I had seen @yoga_girl_london ‘s post on lolasana last month, and although I am a complete novice to the pose, I thought hey why not? It’s a little daunting posting this as I know I have a long way to go before achieving this pose but I just wanted to say how great these preparatory drills are! It really shows you how much strength is needed (you can tell how hard its making me work) and even if your goal isn’t lolasana, it will certainly help build core strength! 🙏🏻

One kind of good book should leave you asking: how did the author know that about me? - Alain de Botton
I don’t think this means that you as a person are described in a book, but rather that it just speaks to you in some way. By putting into words things that you yourself have vaguely been wondering about. Or just by surprising you with insights that make total sense and you wonder why you’ve never thought of things in that way. Or even just by describing the world in the exact same way that you experience, see and feel it - and your mind is blown by such a simple thing as that.
. Good Evening Yogis 🤗
I’m sooo enjoying all your pics & reasons for them.
I find it so interesting how 1 Yoga pose can represent something so different to each of us ☺️
Tomorrow is Day 3 of
Day 3 is your “Nemesis Pose” of 2017.
Oh Lola why can’t you & I be friends? 😣
My Nemesis pose of 2017 (and still is) #lolasana
I don’t practice this AT ALL unless it comes up in a challenge 😂
I’m extremely inconsistent with this pose.
I’ve never gotten past a 2 sec hold & that’s probably been a fluke😰
I know that means I should practice it more but I don’t enjoy anything about it so I just avoid it 😂
Chinstand is actually my #1 Nemesis pose but I refuse to do it (ever again) 🙅🏽♀️ so I went with my #2 option cuz I promised to honor my body in 2018🙏🏽😉 Don’t forget to check in with my beautiful co-hosts to see their “Nemesis” Pose & please visit out our awesome Sponsors and show them some love. I flew in #mayurasana, #lolasana, and #lsit today! These were postures that no matter how much I tried in the past, they never clicked for me. My legs would feel like lead or they’d cramp up like a b*tch lol. I decided to try them this evening and something just came together. I have been working on core and hip strength during my break from running so maybe?? Goes to show that focusing not on the final postures but more so on the steps to get there is the key 😊 #thejjcommunity#yogaeverydamnday#yogainspiration#igyoga#yogirunner#mondaymotivation

Pada Gomukhasana in Lolasana
There it is! The video about my photo that you asked for. It's a variation and the tip here is to bend the spine, push the floor and activate the abdomen. It is not a posture for beginners, it requires a lot of strength!
Practice a lot the lolasana before you try this one.
Tones the arms, abdomen and back muscles

#frenomies. I was telling my daughter how I feel about this pose, #lolasana (aka #tuckplanche ) and she says "oh so you're frenomies". Yup, that about sums it up. I know I need to do it more if I want to say, jump through in vinyasas or do a crow press But oh do I HATE it! And crossing the leg doesn't help me much. How do people get their legs all the way up in their chests?
This same daughter also told me I needed to change my Instagram name because "yoganasticmama" made her think of the word "nasty" and then I couldn't get that out of my head.
Also glad to be back after a little hiatus namely "the cold from hell!" I can finally breath again!
