The butterfly is innocent. She consumes nothing and gives everything. She has no apparatus with which to eat. She is the most innocent, taking not a thing and perpetuating the life force of others all around her. The caterpillar gives nothing, sloths around and eats and eats for days and weeks.
The caterpillar takes and takes and only gives back if it is either a, eaten by a lucky bird or b, becomes a butterfly. The butterfly can't be a butterfly if the caterpillar can't eat and eat and eat and eat until it's full forever. We praise the butterfly and kill the caterpillar. We copy the caterpillar and demolish the habitat of the butterfly. Our pillars don't align with our foundations.
One of my favorite places I’ve been to, situated on the western side of Lantau Island. I just love how laidback Tai O is ( an old fishing village, popular for both its stilt houses and for its pink dolphins), a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.
