We were nominated by the amazing @vinci_husky to do #5facts about ourselves. First up is 5 facts about me, Finn!
Protector. I am alpha and my brother knows it, but no one messes with my brother, I'd give my life to protect him.
Explorer. I am happiest when exploring. I make everyone stop to explore everything on an adventure.
Cuddler. I love cuddling close and belly rubs. If you have treats I'll make sure you know I'm here to give me some.
Lone wolf. I like to sleep out alone and go exploring on my own. But I don't like it when my humans leave, not even the best treat in the world is better than having my pack close.
Agile. I can jump the highest jumps, I'm silent like a ninja, and incredibly fast. Useful for hunting everything.
That one time I finally came across a wolf while driving back from the DBL.
This photo was taken on my Canon5DSR and my Canon 70-200 2.8 is ii
This wolf is recognized as a subspecies of Canis lupus in the taxonomic authority Mammal Species of the World (2005). It was first described as a distinct subspecies in 1905 by Daniel Elliot who referred to it by its past name of the "autocrat timber wolf". Elliot distinguishes this wolf by the teeth in both jaws being large and heavy, and along with the skull exceed those of C. l. occidentalis (the Northwestern wolf) of a comparable body size. Its coat ranges from black to white or a mix of both. The Yukon wolf has a height of 85 cm (33.5 in) with an average male weight of 43 kilograms (95 lb) and for females 37 kilograms (82 lb). In Denali National Park and Preserve male wolves average 47.6 kg (105 lb). One specimen weighed 79.4 kilograms (175 lb). Large Alaskan wolves are known to hold up to 20 pounds (9.1 kg) of moose meat in their stomachs. The most common color for this subspecies is tawny grey or tan, but can also range from white to black. The lifespan ranges from 4 to 10 years, the oldest being 12 years.
I wonder if perhaps as we get older we fall in love more easily...? Either way, British Colombia has officially stolen my heart. A heart that I’ve already given to Hawaii, Austria, New Zealand and the city of Copenhagen (I might have a fair-weather heart 😜) #love#britishcolumbia#travel#canada#ourbc
🐺The Lone Wolf Mentality.
The lone wolf lives by the belief that they have to do life alone...that no one truly has their back...that everyone is just in it for themselves.
As an animal, a lone wolf is a wolf that lives independently rather than with others as a member of a pack. Lone wolves are typically stronger, more aggressive and far more dangerous than the average wolf that is actually a member of a pack.
As a person, a lone wolf is an individual who prefers solitude, expresses introversion, or prefers to work alone.
In literature, lone wolves are aloof and emotionally unable or unwilling to directly interact with other characters in the story. A stereotypical lone wolf will be dark or serious in personality; they are often taciturn and distinguished by their reserved nature. *A lone wolf often has undergone some emotional trauma which separates them from the crowd.
Lone wolf of the group:
A similar concept is the lone wolf of a particular group, who spends enough time with a group to be considered a member but not enough time to be very close to the other members. Such people tend to not take part in the group activities or "get-togethers". Part of this concept arises from the fact that the lone wolf has been pushed away from the group but still has a very strong bond to the "pack".🐺
