This desk is a hot mess now, but I’m glad because it means it’s being put to good use. (Search the blog for “plywood desk” for the tutorial.) If you missed my post earlier today, Jonah is getting a mini version of this desk for his room to go with his adorable tiny Eames-style chair. The boys had an exciting day encountering some wildlife in our yard, by the way. Check out my stories to see what I mean. 😊 Hope you all have a great weekend!
Throwback to my first attempts at air plants. Sadly I wasn’t very successful at first but at least I got a pretty still life out of it. I’m happy to say I’ve been able to keep the ones I have currently alive for awhile now! What I’ve learned: more light and less water (I used to practically drown them and then they’d rot). #mytinyterrarium
These lamps created by @catellanismith are characterized by a hand-worked fiberglass diffuser that casts shapes against the walls, in a suggestive interaction between shadow and light. Gold, therefore, becomes the leitmotif of a light design specifically studied to amaze and enchant the guest’s eyes and to meet the elegance of the @hoteldeparismc , that has made of uniqueness its raison d’être.
I think it hit a bazillion degrees today and every time I go outside I want to die. (summer monsoon season can start now please 🌧 🙏)
Oh, and happy Friday! Here’s hoping it cools down for the weekend!

Working on Urban Loft Window Treatments’ fall fabric library collection. Love these from @carolinairvingtextiles. It’s going to be a busy fall season-summer has been very busy-so we are working behind the scenes to bring you the most beautiful fabrics available!
Oh hey, Friday! Thank God you’re here! Our Friday night ritual is to order Chinese takeout and eat it sitting on the couch watching The Americans (or some other show we’re super behind on). And I cannot wait. Anyone else have a Friday night ritual? 📷: @brittanyambridge for @surfshackbook
This is the front view of this beauty. The pop of blue against a neutral palette has so many people asking for this style! Who else loves blue as much as we do? Designed by LUX decor, photographed by Angela Auclair
