What I ate today :) People always ask me, and it changes from day to day, but this was today. I ended up only eating half of the salad but 3 cheers for having lunch prepped for tomorrow already! I've been raw for 3 months now and thriving on it. 25% through my yearlong commitment! Peace be with you✌
Had the beach all to myself... well almost. 🐶 .
I was realistic and brought just one book on this trip, knowing that I would probably only get through half of it. I’ll admit I’m not the most committed reader as I have 20 books started at all times. 📚
But if there is one book that you could choose to bring on a long trip, make sure it’s
Everybody, Always @bobgoff.
While I’ve been trying to put into practice loving everybody, always, its easier when you’re around exotic strangers and hospitable @airbnb hosts, traveling around the world. I think the real test will be back home, when patience can wear thin, and stress builds. I want to choose kindness, love, and grace amidst the wildness and chaos and unknown.
“One thing I never expected from my DTS was the deep relationships I would build. I expected to make friends but I didn’t expect to find family.” - former student (Caitlyn) ⠀

I recently discovered the biography of an incredible Japanese man. Toyohiko Kagawa (1888-1960) was a mix between MLK jr., Abraham Kuyper and Mother Theresa. His deep love for Jesus and the vulnerable and his commitment to peace and justice are still echoing in the lives of those inspired by his example today. #gospelinaction#tgc#ccda#leastofthese#lovedoes#biography
Tashi* in Tibet: “I saw God do miracles in the last six months. Here's a testimony of a 26-year old married woman, Myra*. Myra was a victim of domestic violence. Her husband beat her up since the day they got married. She could not stand up for her rights because he often threatened to kill their daughter if she spread the word. So, she always kept quiet and had been bearing the pain and scars in her body for her child's safety. She never shared her pain with anyone. •
While I was sharing the Gospel, I met her and shared the Gospel with her. I could see in her eyes that she was sad. I asked her if she had any problem. She decided to share her problem with me since I was a stranger and I wouldn't spread the rumors. I told her about God's everlasting love. I told her that if she wasn't being treated right, she didn't have to stay with him. I invited her to the Church and fellowships. She came to the Church and accepted Jesus as her personal Lord and savior. Then she divorced her husband and stood up for her rights. She took her daughter and moved away. She is now a committed Christian and is very happy in the Lord. She has also got a good job to support herself and her daughter.” // *Name changed & representative photo used for safety // #HarvestBridge#LoveDoes#WednesdayWisdom
Life can be cruel and unfair… It can make you wait for far too long, throw curve balls at you or knock you flat on your back, trying to catch your breath. Then, you are left with the ever so daunting questions of why? How come? For how long? How could this happen to me?... Situations I have faced with and questions I have even asked myself many times.. Sometimes, I am given answers, outcomes, or other circumstances that I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Other times, I am asked to wait it out, or the worst, I am asked to take it head on, no questions asked, I just have to go through it. But, there is always beauty from ashes through situations like this. There is always a mountain top in a valley.. I honestly may not see it at the time, or may not even understand either, but that is where God has and always will meet me. He meets me in the for sure yes’s and no’s and he meets me in the waiting. He is the one answer that I always know is 100% clear in the gaps of my life. With God, He is the answer 100% of the time.#bobgoff#bobgoffknowledge#thegapsinlife#godfillsthegaps#heis100%#situations#hardoreasy#godisalwaysthere#everybodyalways#lovedoes
Before donating to any nonprofit, it's important to ask, "What fruit does it leave behind?" Well-designed development projects such as water systems, new homes, eco-stoves and latrines will ultimately begin to leak, rust, or stop working. And when orgs stop there, they cause more harm than good in the long run. #ENLACE leaves behind churches that understand their role as servants and are well-connected to their neighbors and local organizations so that inevitable problems are solved. #ENLACE leaves behind new or strengthened water boards, #Community associations and health units that have already worked with the local church on numerous projects. Find out more about what ENLACE leaves behind with its #Poverty and #Transformation Trees. Link in our profile! #ENLACEConnects#ENLACEConnects#Bethechurch#LoveDoes
With a little more than a week to go before Thanksgiving we're going to continue highlighting some amazing people involved with 30 Hearts... this time from the US!
Dave is a huge blessing to the 30 Hearts team. Dave is on the board, manages the finances, sponsors a child and volunteers his time any way needed. He has a heart for the children in Ethiopia and has gone, along with his daughter, to visit them! We are thankful Dave is following God's leading and using his gifts to benefit the families of 30 Hearts!
Our fall party was a blast!
Thanks to everyone who made it out.
If you didn't make it, we'll for sure do it again!
