Buongiorno and happy Monday, what’s your schedule for today?
Today I will be researching some experience ideas to share with our guests in the future, searching out tickets for Andrea Bocelli’s concert in July and catching up on admin, which I must admit is a daily occurrence and the list of ‘things to do’ never seems to end!
The world of hospitality means wearing many hats - there’s the mundane administrative tasks which exist in most workplaces, then there’s the housekeeping hat, the maintenance hat, the researchers and accountants hats. But the most exciting hat of all is meeting and greeting our guests, spending a little time with them and showing them around.
Yesterday we strolled around the hidden pathways of Vicopisano with one our guests who’s been to stay with us many times here in Vicopisano but she had never discovered the off the main track cobbled lanes and view points all around the village. It’s a fault we all tend to make when planning the perfect trip away. We find the perfect location, where we plan to base ourselves and end up seeing just half of it as we rush around trying to tick as many boxes of those famous nearby sites we must see!
I suppose the moral of the story is that it’s always ok to go back and visit the same place twice or more as you will always discover new things to see and do.
