the best kind of happiness
in its purest form,
in comparison to sadness,
happiness beyond that. .
I’ve had many moments within myself, reflecting on what I believe happiness means to me. I used to think me being happy was an anomaly, I’ve broken that thought pattern. I think the pursuit of happiness is never ending. happiness comes in when you allow it to come in. Your headspace is everything. When you’ve decided to be happy, no one can take it away from you. Because you’ve given that to yourself 💫I captured this beautiful girl in a moment of pure happiness and I love this image for so many reasons but mainly because It radiates joy to me. It’s not what’s typically in my feed, but I hope to post more portraits like this. Because it makes me feel good, and isn’t that what it’s about?
Idilic conditions for camping last weekend. It was sunny all day with no sight of rain; a light breeze to keep away the midges and fuel the fire; and this is about as dark as it got.
The fact that here in Scotland we have the liberty to wild camp (almost) anywhere we choose is something that should never be taken for granted. One of the main appeals of wild camping is the feeling of distancing yourself for from civilisation. So arriving at a site with traces of past campers (littler, a fire pit, flattened grass etc) is always a little disheartening. Make sure you leave the campsite how you would like to find it. Pick up your litter, always dismantle your fire pit (& put it out!) and if you are there for more than a couple of nights - move your tent to let the grass breathe. It's not difficult but the difference it can make to someone else's trip is invaluable. @roamresponsibly #roamresponsibly
