Sue was the most beautiful woman I ever knew. She was an unapologetic feminist, political thinker, philosopher, artist, queer theorist. The kind who sits quietly but radiates her presence in a gentle way. The one you know has a million thoughts but rarely shares them. I wonder where she is sometimes. What she’s doing. She never had a social media account, and this is all I have from her - a manually operated photograph at our university building. I also think she’ll be on the news one day, wearing a suit, debating in the sweet, firm way she always did.
