We completed the PCT from Mexico to Canada. We walked across the Canadian border on our 5th wedding anniversary. It took us 142 days, from May 3 - September 21, 2018. We officially hiked 2,650 miles. We hiked every open mile--no skips, no flips. Including water stops and fire detours, our GPS clocked 2,765 miles hiked and 450,263 feet of total ascent. We maintained our vegan diet the whole trail. Some stats: 3 countries. 3 states. 24 resupply shipments. 14 rattle snakes. 7 black bears. 2 angry skunks. Countless lizards, marmots, pikas, and deer. 4 pairs of shoes each. 0 blisters for Tim, several for Renee. 0 pain killers. 6 zero-mile days. 0 nights in hotels/motels/hostels/etc. Several new friends. One amazing adventure.
Today is the day when I faced another fear of mine. I actually have fear of heights, but today I am proud to say that I jumped out of a plane in 1700 meters height and I did it for real. It all started as a joke when Gabie asked me what I think about doing skydiving and I - without thinking; obviously I was not really aware of what I was saying - "let's do it!". Turkish people use to say that their word is their proud, so after willing in there was no way back anymore and I am really happy that I have done it. #justdoit#skydive#skydiving#mexico#crazy#amazing#adventure#fly
