A sticker of honor now adorns my man-boob. Get out there and #vote, #Minnesota! You've got until 8pm!
I'm admittedly not entirely happy with some of the primary choices available here in my district, but voted strongly #progressive as much as possible. And some of the supposedly "Democrat" candidates? F*cking terrifying to think they could be in the general election.
We are extremely grateful for the opportunity we had last week to share the “first cut” of our documentary with over 200 people...13-18 year olds along with their parents, law-enforcement, educators, recovery professionals, families who’ve lost a child to the disease of addiction as well as courageous young adults who are in recovery. All were able to give us insightful feedback!
We made an exciting connection with some amazing educators who are willing to volunteer time to help further develop the curriculum that Change the Outcome is creating for schools in Minnesota. We’re excited and hopeful that people in our community want to use their unique skills to help us fight addiction. Everyone has a role to play in battling this epidemic and we’re humbled by those who’ve joined our efforts!
How #progressive was YOUR #MinnesotaPrimary2018 ballot??
(Mine was 78% female, 33% Black, 33% Gay and 22% Muslim!)
There are many candidates that I felt very strongly about this election. Great leaders with great forward thinking views that I was happy to give my vote to. So great to see these views align with a more diversified ballot too! Here's to the future, #HennepinCounty! & I hope you get a lot #gayer! ❤💛🧡💚💙💜
After a week off from any sort of working out (besides my running at work) today I was ready. I struggled (dude I struggle to breathe without HIIT at the moment), but I did it. I didn’t allow myself to advance to week 5 where I should be, I kept myself going right where I left off. Is it ideal? Heck no, I was excited to commit to this and not miss a beat. But I had to listen to my body and working out just wasn’t going to happen.
I could have thrown in the towel (guilty in the past), but I put all my excuses aside and I got back to it. And guess what?!? IT FEELS DAMN GOOD!
This is your Tuesday reminder that each day is a new beginning. You don’t have to start on Monday or the beginning of the month, you can start any damn day of the week when you are ready and physically able!
