💚 #Commando This is a picture from when we first got our #Jeep.
Pictures here is #HurrahPass, a mountain pass at an elevation of 4,780ft above the sea level, located in #Moab#Utah. This trail is very easy and extremely scenic. It is primarily a dirt road that goes over a fairly low pass. Several water crossings.
The pass is the highest point on the trail from Moab to #chickencornersmoabutah a good dirt road with moderate hills. At 20 miles round trip, the final three-mile climb to the pass is the only challenging stretch. A wide gravel road most of the way with occasional small ledges and steep spots last 3 miles. The road encompasses miles of stunning views through twisty hair pin corners, high elevations and steep grades. This is a wonderful drive best done early in the morning for good pictures and to avoid the traffic later in the day. The views are fantastic and the road leads to #chickencorners 🐔
Another amazing weekend in the books.!! We decided to climb the tombstone yesterday “the corner route” and it was awesome, the crack climbing was top notch and it was my first time really having to get into some off width climbing, it was so awesome to get up this route.!! Definitely one of the best climbs of my life and all in the presence of super humble and awesome people.
Thank you @5starclimbs for being such an awesome climbing partner and Thank You @orionowens for being such a great person and having so much good energy flowing out of you.!! I had an awesome weekend.!!
Some people think vacation means lots of sleep and relaxation... but not us! This trip consisted of little to no sleep, camping in temperatures down into the teens, hauling up hefty backpacking gear up some of the steepest mountains in a foot of freshly fallen snow and driving hundreds and hundreds of miles across Colorado and Utah just to name a few! And the end result was stories and memories we'll share for the rest of our lives. I love this woman dearly and am still amazed she enjoys these kinds of adventures just as much as I do! Would we do it again...100% YES! #adventurers#moab#utah#desert#sunset#husbandandwife#vacation
I want to go back to this gorgeous place and go hiking 🙌🏻 My whole family went on this hike (minus two grandkids), so there were around 35 of us up there. My mom wanted a photo of all of us and holy cow was it crazy and crowded! But it’s awesome to have these memories memorialized in photos. We’ll look back on that in 5, 15, 25 years and be so glad we took the time. Pictures are so important guys!!! Does Google Photos ever send you a tag that shows where you were a year ago? It immediately takes me back to that moment and makes me feel “homesick” for how little my babies were! 😿 Pictures are important.
I have one spot left for November! And I have two spots in December. I’m scaling back this year to keep my sanity 🙃
