“Drink in the beauty and wonder at the meaning of what you see” - Rachel Carson, The Sense of Wonder
There’s something about immersing yourself in nature that let’s you be whoever you are. In nature there’s no mirror. It’s an opportunity to connect with yourself, without having to uphold a manicured image. I’ve always been drawn to the mountains and forests of Canada, hence the move to the Rockies. I find comfort in being engulfed in a forest, rather than exposed in open plains. It brings me comfort and joy - a lot of it. What a beautiful thing it is to have your sense of wonder reignited in nature, and to be reminded that despite not knowing where the journey leads, to embrace it 🌿💗
Despite forgetting my earbuds, realizing my gym shirt was see through, five hours of sleep, and the scary woman in the locker room full on opera singing to a Muse song, I still managed to workout today. Been nothing but laughs and jokes since I got going this morning. A sense of humor is key in all things. Giddyup, Monday.
Quick stop in the City to explore a little bit before continuing on to Bend. It's been incredible being on the road for the month working and having the whole crew with me. Not to mention getting back home to see friends and family! I'm so grateful for this life and the amazing journey it's been so far. Stoked for more! Humbled

The scariest moment of my PNW trip was at the peak of rattlesnake ridge and my phone slipped from under me and in the next 6 seconds it felt like time slowed down as I watched my phone bounce from one rock to another and slipping through ice and bouncing some more, I told myself “ok Bobby I guess you’re just gonna live the rest of your trip without a phone just accept that now” lol.. the phone was bouncing towards two guys who could have easily reached to grab it but I was so petrified that I couldn’t say/do anything except witness the impending death of my phone.. but by some miracle, my phone stopped bouncing close to the edge of the cliff and I was able to retrieve it but man that was *scary* like I’d rate it 0 out of 5 stars, would not recommend 🙅🏻♂️
I’m not sure if I’ll ever get tired of wandering through these Balinese rice terraces during sunrise 🍚🍛🍙🍣
But it’s time to say farewell to Bali for a little bit... Next stop, Java! 🌋
