Is it ridiculous that I've been trying to cram in a couple of months work in the space of two weeks!? That's how little notice the NHS (our healthcare system) have given me for my surgery but yesterday I accepted that I'm not going to get everything done by next Tuesday! 🤦🏻♀️ In fact, I often feel my ‘to do’ list is never ending. Do you feel like that too?
I guess the surgery date has made me realise how much I enjoy what I do and made me question what if I weren’t able to physically do any of this anymore!? 😭... Anyway, here's a picture of some abstract minimal work that may or may not make it to the website 😳🤯😩
My favourite flooring in the new house ▪️▫️ We decided to go bold with green in our utility room and couldn't be happier with how it turned out! Now time to tackle all the packed boxes sitting in the rest of the house. Send ☕️!
I'm taking Noah out for the morning because we're having our upvc doors replaced with internal doors in the porch and Noah has a habit of pestering every work man that comes in our house 🙊 here's an unrelated photo because there aren't many parts of my house that are tidy today!
I woke up to so many sweet messages and comments this morning about yesterday’s posts. And y’all just have no idea how much it truly made my day. I got so many great questions and insight and am working through responding to each one! If I haven’t gotten back to you yet, I promise I am getting there 😘 But for now..

I feel like this one is pretty obvious, because for me, a room just isn’t complete until it has a little green 🌿 But maybe you’ve never considered plants in your home. And if that’s the case, can I please urge you to give it a try?
If you don’t feel like you are capable of keeping anything alive, look for fresh greenery from your local grocery store. You can usually find a decent bunch for less that $5 here in Virginia. Eucalyptus is gorgeous and dries so well! I still have several stems that I purchased for my Fourth of July decor in several places around the house 🤭 Over 2 months guys and literally no maintenance or watering—simply replacing it with another $5 bunch in another month or so. .
But don’t feel pressured to only buy “real” either. Although some faux will always be a big no, there are a lot of really great options available too! And I’m sure there will always be people who discourage you from buying fake, but those people sure aren’t me!
And while there are great arguments to be made for both sides of the Faux vs. Real debate, I say, why chose? This arrangement in our kitchen is actually made up of both—my fave faux stems + those 2 month old grocery store greens.
Can you tell which is which?
