Refrigerator clean out, leftovers, and scraps coq au vin for dinner tonight. Flavors emerging from a traditional French mirepoix base with a juxtaposition of other elements to allow for a depth of goodness to develop on the stove. Delectable!
Sweet Baby has his first visit to the apple orchard for his 11 month birthday. Poor kiddo would have devoured an entire apple on his own, but for his mama’s tight grip and his still-toothless grin! He still managed to enjoy himself, trying to reach the mushy fallen apples and crawling among the pumpkins and generally keeping Mama on her toes. A thoroughly wonderful day. Happy 11 Months, E ❤️
I’m getting better at meal prep, this afternoon it was so satisfying that I don’t have to worry about what I have to have for dinner, plus it sets my week to a good start, plus I get to taste the food before I eat it 😂
Am I the only one that gets excited about meal prep?
"Don’t simply chase money or title. I promise you that if you do something well enough for a long enough time, both of those things will come your way. Instead aim for the opportunities that will provide you the strongest connections, access to the people you admire and the experiences you find most fulfilling. These things really pay off in a major way down the line. Your career is a long arc, so play the long game.” - Khuong Phan, Executive in Food & Beverage PR, Marketing and Concept Development at @AceDTLA in Los Angeles, CA
