#WecStories#lifelessons Every WEC missionary has lessons learned that have changed our lives. They are stories of common struggles and character flaws: workaholism, rejection, doubts, fears and insecurities. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
They are stories of how a gracious Shepherd takes individual care over wandering sheep. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Evan shares from his story:
“I came to understand as foundational to my Christian walk was that all the members of the Trinity were with me all the time.”
“Jesus – all of Jesus – was living in me and I had access to his power, #grace#peace resilience #holiness and coping ability.”
"As I had handed over all the reins of my life to God for ever, he had committed all of himself to me and I had access to his immensity. This was how I learned to cope in daily life."
Evan is the son of missionary parents in the Congo and has taught on staff at WEC’s Missionary Training College in Tasmania, Australia and worked in our International Office.
You can read ‘The point of no return’, Evan's full story in ‘Life Lessons’ (Edited by Glenn Myers. Published by Christian Focus Publications).

Guys- I’ve been a lying.
There I said it.
I’ve hidden parts of my past out of fear of rejection, fear of the church, fear of women, my stupid pride, and good old fashion laziness. But no more.
Why no more?
Because I am worthy of healing and leaving that part of my past behind. Also because of YOU. You are worthy of healing. If my story can help the teenist smidge then it’s worth it. And also I need your support. Once it’s out there the lies come to attack and attack they have. As friends and sisters in faith we rally around and speak truth over the lies and remind each other who’s we really are. I need that.
Upward and onward. There’s no going back.
As a young girl, for as far back as I can remember, we would excitedly spend one day a year setting up our Snow Village. Then we would enjoy the magic for the entire Christmas season. After I got married they were packed away...until today. Yes people, today marked the day. The Village resurrected. The tradition lives on. I think I got them hooked. #noturningback#snowvillage#kidsarebesidethemselves#christmasmagic
It was freezing snow and rain outside but FIRE inside on the second day of the Students Learn Students Vote Summit.
Students from Florida, North Dakota, North Carolina, and Michigan spoke about fighting voter suppression and gerrymandering through organizing, protests, and winning lawsuits. Their impacts were significant and change making. #noturningback
