Hansel Robles was one of the most successful bullpen arms that Billy Eppler acquired. He started the season off terrible with the Mets, but he was one of the more important hurlers in the Anaheim bullpen.
With the Mets, he pitched to a 5.03 ERA in 19.2 innings, giving up 3.2 HR/9 and walking 4.6/9. As soon as he switched coasts, his numbers improved. In Anaheim, he had a 2.97 ERA in 36.1 innings. His HR/9 lowered to 0.5 and he lowered his BB/9 from 4.6 to 3.7.
It will be interesting to see what role Hansel Robles will have in the 2019 bullpen. While he was good with the Angels, he doesn’t have any history of success. What do you think of this player grade? Agree or Disagree?
