So last night was absolutely amazing! We started at 1am and reached the summit in time for sunrise. The sky was so clear and the views were awesome. We are so proud of ourselves as none of us have done anything like this before. We pushed through the tough parts as a team and encouraged each other. We are glowing in our achievement today (well the cider might be helping 😉) and planning our next adventure. #sgiew_flourish#nofilter
Reunited (stops self from singing 🎤 “and it feels so good” *name that song) Today felt good. I fell off the detox wagon in a BIG way (I’m talking coffee, wine, lunch out and dessert too 🙈) and probably put on the 5lb I had lost. Then I almost punched Eddy hard in the face after he fell asleep in the garden despite the fact I gave him a lie in this morning...complete with a cup of tea and a smoothie no less (wife of the year award coming my way 🥇 ) but I don’t care a single bit because it has been glorious. We have apparently missed the poppy fields I went in search of, or maybe they didn’t arrive like last year 🤷🏼♀️ but we made it work and I am in love with some of the photos I took anyway. Thought I couldn’t resist sharing a family one now obviously. I ended it with a solo food shop because yes I know how to live on a Saturday night and now I am going to sit on the sofa and watch White Collar because I’ve been desperate to watch it all week without him (I didn’t even sneakily watch and pretend I didn’t, darn Netflix for telling you where you are up to 😡) probably have to nudge Eddy every 5 seconds for snoring and consume more calories with my favourite macarons which he always brings me from France. It would be rude not to. I mean they have to be eaten within three days so...kind of on a clock here! It might not be glamorous or rock and roll but it’s my favourite place to be x
Another picture from the ride yesterday, really looking forward to tomorrows club ride and to doing more evening rides next week. But for now today has become a day of rest due to the post ride pub last night.
