Recently someone asked me about my ,stretching secret’. I answered that - as far as I know yet 😜 - there’s none. Gaining flexibility just needs time and commitment.
But my bendy journey taught me a few things I benefit from, not only when it comes to stretching or pole. I wouldn’t call them secrets, but they’re definitely helping me to stick to my training.
A few of them are, that...
...discipline pays of. Patience does too.
...breathing deeply helps. Always. ...nothing is more valuable than health.
...the human body can do anything, it's my mind I have to convince.
...a good technique is essentially.
...now and then I need to step out of comfort (hello handstands...).
...fascias are key (which means blackball massages and lots of water 🤓).
...I have to trust my instincts. No one knows your body better than you.
...hell yes, there are bad days. But a good day is just a few hours away.
And that I still have a lot to learn! 💛

I’m demonstrating stages towards #splits or #hanumanasana also known as #monkeypose
A few years ago I was a good several inches away from the floor, I can #oversplit now. Please keep up your amazing dedication to your #yogapractise and your splits will eventually happen. It fills me with joy to hear that so many of you are working on my preparation videos!
What ever you do don’t force your splits. Look after your hammies and breath into the stretch. Grab props, cushions, blocks anything for support. Have fun! 👉🏻Feel free to take any modification or variation that feels right for you. The choices are endless.
