Mackiah, 10th Grade BTMF student will be upset that I am posting all these pictures. Mackiah doesn't like having his picture taken. He even asked me if he could 'ok' pictures before I posted them. I told him that one doesn't advise or recommend to a Photographer which photograph can be used or not...lol. The Photographer is also an Artist...and a Photographer doesn't give up his or her artistic vision to the subject. Even celebrities don't get to pick which photograph will go into a magazine or an ad campaign.
Mackiah's Mom told me to feel free to post whatever pictures I wanted to show that winning and achievement is possible with hard work. Like the lottery..."You can't win it, if you are not in it!" So, I would always encourage young people to try out for as many, if not all School or City sponsored art poster contests.

Mayor Andre Sayegh @andresayeghnj is the first Arabic-American to hold the highest office in Paterson. He worked for many years as a college and university history professor and was mentored by Congressman Bill Pascrell, who also in his younger days was a high school history teacher at East Side High School.
It was very nice of Mayor Sayegh to take the time and open his office to welcome the Paterson Public School art winners and their families and help celebrate the award winners. Mayor Sayegh's campaign slogan was 'One Paterson'. I feel that Paterson has a bright new future with this positive message!
