Uh. They make drinkable PN's at that pricepoint? Most of the times, when I try "bargain bin" Pinots they end up being offensively mediocre. This lil' guy here from Patagonia won't make you fall off your chair, but not only is there nothing wrong about it, it's actually big-time refreshing! Kind of all fruit but hey, I like fruit, don't you like fruit too? Sour cherry, cranberry juice and hibiscus. Doesn't have much body to speak of and the tannins are barely noticeable, the acidity is quite vibrant. If you wanted to be a naysayer I guess you could say this is a tad watery, but I like it and I even feel I got a little more than what I paid for.
Ah ben. Y s'fait du Pinot buvable à c'prix-là? La plupart du temps, quand j'essaie des PN pas chers, j'tombe sur des vins qui sont offensivement médiocres. Ce p'tit bonhomme Patagonais, quant à lui, jettera personne en bas d'sa chaise, mais ça s'laisse boire, ça s'laisse boire! C'pas mal tout en fruit mais hey, j'aime bien les fruits, toi aussi t'aimes les fruits hen? Cerise surette, jus de canneberge et hibiscus. Le corps est à peu près non-existant, les tannins sont pas invités au party, mais l'acidité est bien vive. Si tu voulais jouer au difficile, tu pourrais dire que ça goute un peu l'eau, mais pour ma part j'l'aime ben pis j'ai l'impression qu'j'en ai eu plus que pour mon argent. 🇦🇷 🍒 🌺

When we discovered they have three #winery estates right here in our #napavalley backyard -- and that they invite a select few individuals of the public each year to join them for a special weekend of free visits and #exclusive events called “Les Journées Particulières”, we knew we had to be there!
@chandonusa went all out for this event and did not disappoint! Their hosts were very friendly and approachable -- including winemaker Guillaume and viticulturist Carlos, who escorted us on a fantastic golf cart ride in the warmth of a perfect #fall day through their #cabernet#vineyards to talk about the #grapes, the process, and then follow it up with a special tasting of “base wines” -- the newly-fermented #chardonnay, #pinot, and #meunier that blend into their #champagne style sparkling wine.
But it didn’t end there! We returned to a special setup of delicious small bites -- including #California craft cheeses, #bubbly based #cocktails, and some delicious extras like gruyere puffs and mushroom arancini -- followed free tastings of anything and everything we wanted on their tasting menu!
On a previous attempt to visit, we had been put off by the bustling corporate feel and lack of attention, but after all of this we were sold and ended up joining the wine club (at least for a little while!) #home#travel#travelgram#instagood#staycation#usa
