It seems these days brides & grooms are changing things up a bit. How ‘bout this yummy Summer Berry Pavlova Cake... Ingredients:
4 large egg whites at room temperature
pinch of salt
225g/8oz caster sugar
2 tsp corn flour
1 tsp white wine vinegar
4 drops of natural vanilla essence
For the filling
1 punnet strawberries
1 punnet of raspberries
rind of 1 orange
1 vanilla pod
1oz icing sugar
other seasonal berries to decorate
Preheat the oven to 150°C/Gas 2/Fan Oven 130°C.
Line a baking sheet with non-stick baking parchment and draw on a nine-inch circle.
Make the meringue in a large clean bowl. Whisk the egg whites and salt into stiff peaks. Slowly add the sugar, a third at a time, whisking well between each addition until the mixture is stiffened and shiny.
Sprinkle in the corn flour, vinegar and vanilla, fold in gently with a metal spoon.
Pile the meringue onto the paper circle and make a deep hallow in the centre. Put in the oven and reduce heat to 120°C/Gas ½/Fan Oven 100°C. Cook for 1½ to 2 hours, until pale brown but a little soft in the centre.
Turn off the oven, leave the door ajar and cool completely.
To make the filling
Whip the cream with vanilla seeds, icing sugar and orange rind until thick. Slice the fruit if necessary.
Peel the paper off the pavlova and transfer to a plate. Pile on the cream mixture, put the fruit on top, garnish with mint and serve. (chef Neven Maguire) 📷@Christiannkoepke #weddingdesserts#wedding#pnwwedding#ipreview @preview.app
Working on a blog post for these two beautiful people. And battling this head cold with all my power. Bone broth & turmeric tea. Apple cider vinegar & lemon tea. Vitamins.... What else?! Comment below with whatever cold remedies you recommend. And stay tuned for more from K & B’s wedding later this week!

I hope everyone is conquering Monday like I am today! Dealing with everything from health insurance to business licenses for next year. Not the most fun things, but you want to know a secret? If I keep my @hydroflask full of coffee, @thebandjoseph on repeat, and take a break every 20 minutes it’s not so bad! .
What boring things are you up to today?!
These colors were my favorite of this year's weddings! Fall colors will forever give me all the feels! Send me alllll the fall weddings forever please!
Three weeks from today I’ll be shooting my 10th & last wedding of 2018! Each season brings on more growth & I feel so thankful every day for what all this year has brought! I’m so ready for their wedding & to end the year with such a sweet couple!
What are your end of the year plans?
💡PRO TIP for destination elopements!
👋Have you ever wondered how to legally get married abroad? How does a couple just go somewhere in the world and get married?
Well fun fact is that 8/10 of our couples who elope abroad actually do the legal paperwork side before they leave or after they get back. Why? So that they can keep their elopement experience exactly how they envision it and not be required to change their plans around the legality of saying vows outdoors (many countries require a ceremony to be performed indoors to be legal), or having a specific clergy person or public official be willing to come on the adventure they envision (most countries require an officiant, and some an actual judge to be present).
Some countries like Iceland are actually fairly easy to do the legal process in—anyone know any others that aren’t too bad?
Anyway, our tip today is to not let red tape for the government get in the way of saying your vows at the incredible location you envision—that moment & that experience matters more than some government paperwork. The day you get married is the day you say you do... signing a piece of paper for taxation purposes doesn’t have to affect that.
xx Maddie Mae
P.S. Extra fun fact is that my fiancé & I signed paperwork for the government 7 months ago ✌️ Stoked to have our elopement day in our dream spot soon—and to leave the government out of it. The day we get married is the day we say our vows and commit our lives to each other ❤️ F paperwork 😂
IN 👏 MY 👏 ELEMENT 👏 especially when I’m wearing a hat, you know I’m ready to work. I’ve evolved so much as a stylist, I’ve been in the industry for 7 years now and let me tell ya, I didn’t imagine myself here now. Hair has always come natural to me and I took that for granted, I started to not work at it or try to grow. I found myself not inspired and looking for something different and honestly I’m so thankful that I got to that place because I wouldn’t be here now. I turned to my faith to help me find a purpose and passion again, I learned how to dream and through that I gained a new love and perspective for my craft. My journey to the Harestream isn’t perfect or was it easy but I’m so grateful for it because I know I’m meant to share it and hopefully spark something in others to dream, to restore faith and to show you that there is purpose in your life! It’s not just about hair, it’s about the people in my chair and the relationships I get to create. Thanks @amystonephoto for capturing this beautiful moment with my dear friend!
Just a little love bubble.🖤 A shot from my last wedding of 2018. I can’t believe it’s already over. 😢 But it’s been such a good year! And I can’t wait for wedding season to come back around for 2019 and all the places my couples are taking me! 🤗🧡
Vow books weren't really a thing yet back in 2009 when @sweetlifephoto.anna and I tied the knot, but if we were getting married today you better believe we'd do it right like Stefanie & Kevan did on their wedding day! The sweetest little vow books by @kelseymaliecalligraphy.⠀
