This was one of the first purchases we made for our home. Clark and I honeymooned in Mexico and they had these star lanterns EVERYWHERE. I was always amazed by them. I found this guy on Wayfair and just knew that it was the perfect option for the foyer light.
I’ll be honest... it’s taken a long time for me to build up the courage to start this page. Isn’t it crazy how many negative thoughts can cross your mind just as soon as you want to start something good?
Well I’ve thought about a few things and came to this conclusion:
Fear is a liar. Don’t ever listen to it. Choose faith over fear. Go for that thing that seems scary. Don’t compare yourselves to other people. If we were all the same and had the same ideas about all things, life would be pretty boring. Am I right?
So here’s to stepping out of fear and taking that first step in doing what you love to do, maybe even what you were created to do.
For me, it’s starting Salty Oak Home. It’s something that I’ve prayed about, discussed with friends and honestly have put off for too long. I’ve tried to wait to start it all until I have everything “perfect” and figured out... but I’ve realized that day will never come. I’m taking things one day at a time, and keeping all of you involved! Follow along with me as I figure out this whole “starting a business” thing and to learn more about Salty Oak Home.
Good things are to come..
& If not, at least we tried! ✌🏼
My sweet dad and husband made this table for us when we moved in. I found these old metal sawhorse legs at an estate sale and we found an old barn door in Nashville, put the two together and bam!...a table to cherish forever!
Went with my older kids to Israel to visit my mother and stepfather. Had an unforgettable time with them in an unbelievable country! The day before we left, I styled their apartment. Feel like I should buy them a plaque that says,” I brought my daughter and grandkids to Israel, and all I got was this styled kitchen!”
