Day 90 of my creative challenge and I'm taking it outside! Our new garden is strangely devoid of planting and colour, especially around the back garden which my little office space looks out onto. I have grand plans for this area but am having to be patient as we'll probably be doing a lot of building work in the next couple of years. So I'm restricting myself to one border and some beautiful pots this year...which to be fair will be more than enough with a baby on the way! I just fell in love with these purples and deep corals. As usual...it's all about the colour!
I never used to like autumn. I'm not sure why it's changed but the last few years I've enjoyed the colours of autumn. Took some time out yesterday to refresh my pots on the porch. A Little calm oasis and safe place to sit and reflect.
My Plant friends on holiday with me.
I started with 4 small ones from home and bought 4 today from Antique shop, $10 each, they are huge n old.
Euphorbia approx 80 cms, ice plant, chain of buttons, the huge cluster of Agave I cant believe it, I bought a small one a week ago. This would be 40 years old...
I usually hand-make my glazes with natural oxides and other ingredients, which results in quite a washed-out, pale colour palette which I love. But I’m making a range for a specific project which I’m really excited about, so I’ve bought these gorgeous powdered glazes - they just need mixing with water and sieving a couple of times, then they’re ready for use. It’s so exciting ... I feel like a magician! #mixingglazes#stonewareglaze#colours#mixingcolours#potsofcolour#lovemakingpottery
