When I was throwing this it felt like it was so off centered and I wouldn’t even be able to manage to get a decent bowl out of it. But watching the video back, it’s really not that bad, not great, but not the worst thing I’ve ever thrown. Sometimes you gotta take a step back, take another look, and trim a little off the top

And so there I was yesterday, minding my own business in the doctor's office, when he stabbed me. With a needle (hi also when, exactly, did I get old enough to need to bring an actual list of my questions to the doctor? And nowhere on my list was 'please could you stab me with a needle in my left arm while I'm just sitting here minding my own business?'). It's a good thing that I'm very brave and never dramatic so that I was able to power through that surprise needle experience yesterday like a champ who now deserves a treat. So it's off to find me some finds on this here Wednesday without fear of tetanus (or was it scurvy or dysentery I forgot to write down what the needle was for) because I'm pretty sure that my needle gave me some super powers in addition to proving my bravery. It also gave me a super sore left arm and so I think I'll bravely go about finding the finds with just my right arm for today which isn't dramatic at all, yes? I'm super not going to let a little surprise (terrifying) needle slow me down. Nope. Because brave and never dramatic and that calls for some finds or at least a good snack today. Yes, I'm super sure of that. .
Happy Day 👋🏻...
My kinda Friday - filled with adventures with the kiddos, said kiddos that are now hanging out by the pool at their grandmas while the little guy takes a nap, a *mostly* clean house, dinner in the IP, my freshly showered self sitting with a face mask on sneaking in a little editing & reading (currently reading Girl Wash Your Face by @msrachelhollis - so so good!) & getting ready for the hubs to walk in the door any minute. Wouldn’t trade all the little things for anything else in this world. ✨

Daniel throws great pots. I have an awful lot of them in my , but this is the only pitcher. The handles on his pitchers feel uniquely Daniel's, to hold. I picked this one up at a May kiln opening a few years ago just before he started shifting direction in his work. If you ever have an opportunity to see his large scale installations, do it! I love when the stays deep cinnamon thru the Take your friend to here ⤵️

Drippy slip helix on a tumbler, picked out by Selsor Blue over a little Selsor Chun on the rim.
I like how this echos the swirly pieces I normally make, but the end result is totally different.
I just ordered three of these Flynn pendants for our dining room from a @potterybarn outlet in Georgia (our local one didn’t have any in stock). All lighting at Pottery Barn outlets is 50% this week so I was able to snag these for an excellent price 🙌🏻 What an awesome, awesome deal! 😁👌🏻
