With a base of strength in place, power development training can assist in the journey of running faster and jumping higher.
If you’re not sure what exactly makes a power development exercise, consider this: 💪🏽Does this exercise result in the displacement of you and/or a weights center of mass? 💨Does this displacement occur at a relatively fast speed? 😴Is it only possible to repeat your best effort 2-3 times per set? 👍🏽A yes to all three of these questions is likely to be an exercise that in some way utilized and trains power production.
If you’ve been training for a while and have developed both hypertrophy and strength at some point or another, you are a prime candidate developing power.
