I went into making this with zero expectation or inspiration, just a "whatever I can find in the fridge" meal, and out came a new favorite.
This is brown butter sage cauliflower gnocchi with chicken and seared kale & carrots, but you can make it whatever you want it to be...
1. Melt some fancy butter in a small pan and throw in some dried sage. I didn't measure, but somewhere around 2 tbsp butter and 1 tsp sage. Once it starts to brown, set it aside.
2. Sear the ever living hell out of your @traderjoes cauliflower gnocchi
3. Toss some chopped kale and sliced carrots or honestly any vegetables you could possibly name in a cast iron on high heat, add a little salt, and cook until the veggies are how you like them
4. Add the gnocchi and some chicken (or beef, or pork, or nothing) to the veggies and pour that butter all over it
And boom, you have the most delicious easy dinner imaginable. This would work with noodles instead of gnocchi, more or less veggies, whatever you want! @hmmessinger recently wrote a post on wanting to make recipes that could easily be tweaked to whatever you heart desires... It resonated with me, because I want my recipes to be approachable to anyone!
