Such a blessing spending an amazing day catching up with my family of almost 2 decades, the great Ken Matsuda. Arguably one of the greatest mentors, motivators, trainers and overall life forces the world of sport has seen. Everybody from NCAA champions to gold medalists to grand slam winners to world number 1's hang on the wall of his dojo; the most amazing room with every contraption the mind can fathom and some that it can't 🤔. Even Jonah couldn't get enough of his stories 🐶.. On my picture (2008) on the wall, I wrote "Thank you for all the strength for life's defining moments." To this day nothing has changed. Love you Coach. Anyone else already planning for next week? Timed eating is a whole new ball game and it’s taking me some time and coordination. Going out of town this weekend and planning on staying on track. I am planning out my car snacks and workout times. We are visiting my family in Pittsburgh so it’s at least 5 hours in the car which means at least one meal will be on the road!!
I also have a 4 day work week next week so I have to have a grocery list ready to go on Sunday so that I can maximize my time after driving home 5 hours. Preparation is the key to success. Good thing I can access all of my workouts from ANYWHERE and can stream them on my phone or computer. When you have goals, you do whatever it takes to make them happen 💪🏼
When you finish your workout and your arms are still shaking you know it was a good one. 😅 ••••• I always joke about my “spaghetti noodle arms” because all my life, I’ve just had small arm muscles. I was a competitive swimmer and soccer player since I was 4 years old. I had the legs and quads of an athlete and the shoulders of a swimmer, but I was lacking in other areas. This program changes daily and helps me target all those areas I have forgotten about! It makes you use muscles you never even knew you had! •••• So this is my goodbye, adios, peace out ✌🏼 to my spaghetti noodle arms and hello to my journey of building arms and a better me!

Day 2 of my new fit program was alllllll about the glutessss 🍑🔥 A whole lotta band work meant a whole lotta burn! I’ve never done a program designed like this before, and I’m already loving the challenge and the change up from my usual routine. Here, I weigh 178 pounds. My thighs touch. My crop top is a size LARGE & it digs into my armpit fat.
AND YET, I’m happy. I mean, I’m still finding my way back to fitness after retiring from college hockey... but isn’t everyone on some kind of journey?
Health has no size. And neither does happiness. So let’s stop selling [and seeking] as if they do.
I’m inspired by women like @nadiaaboulhosn, @iskra and @theashleygraham who live their definition of beautiful, powerful and worthy each and every day.

Day 1/80 is complete and I am IN LOVE!! So many new moves to challenge me 😂 (and the meal plan has so much food. I'm struggling to keep up lol) I really thought today would be hard cause the first is always the worst, but honestly doesn't even feel like I'm on a diet thankfully! (We'll see how tonight goes cause I'm a snacker)
But these workouts 😍 I felt every muscle firing! It was crazy intense but fun at the same time! I can't wait to see what tomorrow is (and the next day and the next day and the next day cause each day is a new workout 🎉)
