Saturday 16th June 2018. Our campaigners took to the windy streets of Hove this afternoon to raise awareness about the cruel greyhound racing industry and how it is fuelled by the betting industry. The betting shop did not appreciate our presence (something we are used to) but nevertheless we stayed put. Our placards were seen and our voices were heard, most people agreeing that there is no place for dog racing in 2018. One compassionate woman who signed our petition told us that she used to work at the Hove Stadium but walked out when she witnessed the cruelty involved in the treatment of the dogs.
You cannot have greyhound racing without cruelty!Greyhounds are sensitive, loyal dogs not gambling chips! Only the fastest dogs are wanted by the industry. Thousands of greyhounds every year are abandoned or killed when they are no longer profitable. Some are exported to countries where there is no concern for their future welfare.
Don’t support greyhound racing - Join us and be their voice! Thank you to everyone who supported our campaign today.
