At Rhinebeck I picked up two sampler packs of roving from the fiber studio at Threefold Education Center, 25 colors from nature. A few hours of fun spinning bobbels of natural dyed corriedale and and now I have this completely charming, yummy, cheerful skein of goodness. It needs to be cowl STAT, anyone got pattern suggestions? DK weight, will knit till done. #spinningcheer#happyyarn#thisiswhywewool#rhinebeck2017
I remember when I used to be shy about my #fiberaddiction, now I'm sorting #sheepfleece on my living room floor during #virtualknitnight with @nightowlhandcrafts and @floofymoose then posting it on the innanets. I guess I'm not so shy anymore! 😂😂😂 This #cormofleece from sweet Dolly that I bought at #rhinebeck2017 had me singing songs and doing dances on live Google hangouts as I sorted her for tip flicking then washing. This fleece -- epic!!! 😍😍😍 Gotta finish sorting the lengths today then flick those ends. As soon as it warms up -- wash time, then the spin!!!! #Happyweekending IG friends!! 😘 Make sure you do something this weekend just for you!!! Cause, you know ... #selfcare ...
🍾 HAPPY NEW YEAR to my #knitting friends! Thank you to everyone for your support with Margeau Blanc and Margeau Chapeau. The current success with @thewooliers drives me to continue creating and delivering new patterns and yarn. Without you, all of my knitting endeavors would not be possible! 2017 was year for challenge and learning on a personal level and I’m anticipating 2018 to be the best year yet, to learn from my experiences in the past year, and to grow to be a better version of myself everyday. I hope 2018 brings everyone much success and happiness! ❤️❤️❤️
Finishing the year with a Favorite Finished Object! #viatori by @farwellclay — a hand knit that holds so many special memories from 2017. Bought the @lettlopi at
The Hand Knitting Association of Iceland in #rejkjavik while on our family vacation, and then selected the buttons at @looplondonloves in #London during the second leg of that trip. Cast on while staying in #Eyrarbakki on the southern coast of Iceland, and worked on it in London, at home, and at #rhinebeck2017 while visiting with @jenherronsmith and @fayemakes 💙 Looks like I know what I’ll be wearing on the first day of the new year! #handknit#knittersofinstagram#knitty#viatori#farwellclaydesign#icelandicwool#buttonlove
OMG I KNIT A HAT! (And I realllly liked it 🙊) I have knitted super simple scarves in my life, but nothing more advanced and once I found the joys of crochet a few years ago I never looked back. But today, after finishing kiddo’s crochet vest (see the last pic) I decided to give the Mini Pom Pom Beanie DIY Kit from @loopymango that I scored at #rhinebeck2017 a try. No pressure, just see how it goes. I made a big cozy red blanket with one of their knit kits about 4 years ago, so I knew it could be fun. But omg I didn’t realize it was going to be this fun! Knitting in the round is, dare I say, a lot more fun than crocheting in the round 🙊 And I made my first pom! The only edits I made to the pattern were I knit one less row (I was worried about running out of yarn), and then I couldn’t help but add a single crochet edge with an 8mm hook in the teal blue color to tie it all together (it’s normally knit without an additional contrasting edge). It fits age 1-4 yrs, and you can totally un-cuff the edge (plus the hat is very stretchy) to make it last many years. I have the itch to make more knit hats in the round now — any suggestions? Easy ones in chunky yarns that work up fast with minimal room for error? I can already see myself heading to the local yarn shop tomorrow 😬 I never thought I would say this but hi, I’m Molly and I’m #bistitchual 🙌 #forbabywithlovefrommolly#notphotoshopjustchristmaslights
