I don't know about you, but I've been on this amazing "inner journey" for a long time.
🌟 knowing there was more.
🌟 knowing I'm destined for more.
🌟 knowing I'm here for a reason, my purpose.
But yeah... What could that be??? And why can't anyone here on earth just freaking tell me what I should actually do?! 😤
How about you? Sounds familiar?
Maybe you're still in the middle of this internal fight. Stuck in a job that you do on a daily basis, but of which you KNOW you can do so much more than that. But what?!
Or maybe you're in the middle of a different kind of personal crisis. Burn-out, depression, or maybe even money struggles. And you ask yourself, "What exactly is the reason for all this drama?"
What's the reason YOU have to go through this?
I believe that everything we experience in our life, happens for a reason. You grow through it, you learn from it. And what else?
Well, it makes you - with everything you've been through and learned - a true source of inspiration for another.
Maybe you don't even know this. Maybe you don't even know how wise you are. Knowing things that seem totally normal for you. Life lessons you've learned a long long time ago.
But for someone else? It could be the exact thing that someone else needs. ❤
TRYING is a strict "no go" for me, as it implies FAILURE.
The phrase "I WILL TRY" instantly destroys your CREDIBILTY.
People who fail to achieve goals signal their INTENT to fail by using this common phrase, because it makes failure an option you can take.
Don't fall into this trap.
Leaders aren't BORN - they are MADE!
Drop a pebble in the water:
just a splash, and it is gone;
But there's half-a-hundred ripples
Circling on and on and on,
Spreading, spreading from the center,
flowing on out to the sea.
And there is no way of telling
where the end is going to be.
~By James W. Foley
In the current climate and the unspeakable evils goings on in the world it’s hard not to feel hopeless, that there is nothing we can do. To feel overcome by apathy and depression.
But with every action we make there is an effect, the seen and unseen. In Buddhism we call it the ripple effect even the smallest drop of water ripples out into the ocean. Change starts with each and everyone of us. No matter how small. We can strive to be better to do better. To be compassionate, loving beings. Everyone no matter of their current life state has the capacity to love and be loved. I will not let the evil in the world poison my resolve to create a better one. Peace and harmony it starts with I it starts with you. Be the change you wish to see in the world. #postivequotes#dontlosehope#causeandeffect#rippleeffect#postivechange#affirmations#keeptrying#hope#peace#dailyguidance
There is a lot going on in the world at the moment- between womans rights, immigrant rights, domestic violence awareness and just plain ol' humanity really- I know sometimes I can get so overwhelmed by little things and then feel guilty because I know there is people out there that wish their biggest hurdle is worrying about the DJ playlist for their wedding (first world problems much?). But this is what it is about. One person at a time, doing everything they can at every opportunity because the ripple effect is real and one mosquito can leave a mark.
International yoga day 🙏
This is me back in 2010 graduating from my first yoga teaching training at the Sivananda Ashram in Neyyar Dam in India. It was a transformational experience in many senses of the phrase and one I’ll start to talk more about here. .
Yoga has been a part of my life since my early teens when my mum took me to my first class at our local leisure centre. It was love at first savasana! I loved that it was non-competitive, and inclusive and invitational. No-one was barking instructions about doing anything “more” or “faster” or “harder”. The teacher made me feel like it was ok to be exactly where I was and that sense has stayed with me for over 20 years. What a gift she gave me. .
These days, yoga for me is as much (often even more) about what goes on off the mat, rather than on it. It is about being conscious and mindful and aware of myself while also being open to possibilities and potential. I LOVE sharing yoga with kids for all those reasons. Yoga is an incredible tool for helping them become more aware of their thoughts and feelings and their bodies - all of which can be hugely complicated for little minds to navigate. It’s also massively fun! .
So happy International Yoga Day! May all your downward dogs have waggy tails! 🧘♀️
“Our uniqueness, our individuality and our life experiences mold us into fascinating beings. May we all challenge ourselves to delve into the deepest resources of our hearts to cultivate an atmosphere of understanding, acceptance, tolerance and compassion.” ~Linda Thompson
Summer is here!! It’s the perfect time to do fun activities outside with family or friends. Do remember to use proper clothing and sunscreen so you don’t end up all red and itchy.
At the start of every new season I like to go through things at home and withIN my mind and heart and declutter. It’s healing and liberating to release unnecessary things, thoughts, and emotions. —
Summer Solstice marks the middle of the year and I like to plan the next half. If for any reason I didn’t do all that I wanted to do by now I remind myself to first be kind to myself and don’t dwell on what was not done and focus INstead on what I can and will do now. —
Take this new season as an opportunity to create fun and healthy habits. Checkout my free ebook or online programs available on my website to get you easily started on the next best half of the year!!
Upwards and onwards from here on!! 😃🙌🏼🙌🏼
This day is a pretty big deal.... This day in 2015 was the day that I decided that my dreams were going to be my reality and I flew my best friend @tammylkay to Bali with me for my birthday and we escaped winter and swam in June!
From that day onwards, I made a promise to myself that birthdays would be bucket list days. 🙌 No more playing small, it's all about celebrating this incredible life, doing the things that light you up everyday, spending quality time with the ones you love most and giving back on a big scale to what matters most.
So on this day in 2016, I spent my birthday exploring the Greek Islands and made a lifelong friend who I am crazy grateful for each and every day - @taneil_thornberry✨
And then, on this day in 2017, I spent my birthday with the handsome guy who swept me off my feet after I moved to the tropical North Queensland town of Mackay all because I made that promise to chase the sun and swim on my birthday, ban on this day 3 years ago. 💚
This year, I'll be 30 and celebrating with some of the ones I love most, in the sun, swimming, camping amongst the trees and unplugging here in my new home. How does it get any better than this? 😊
On this day in 2019, who knows where we'll be exploring on our big lap of the country @laine.terrey? I do know for sure that it will be another huge dream come true.
Isn't it just SO COOL to see the impact of what one decision to live in more genuine alignment can bring into your reality?
Now, instead of holidaying to tropical warm places for my birthday, I live there every day. 😊 I've met incredible people who are my closest friends and loved ones, travelled internationally with them and even achieved huge personal dreams along the way. 💚 The power of that ripple effect from one little decision is truly awesome.
In case you can't tell, I'm totally gushing on the power of alignment, the universe and trusting my intuitive decisions right now. Thank you FB memories for the beautiful reminder. I am so grateful for this incredible life.
“Each time a [person] stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, [he/she]sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring, those ripples build a current that can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance.”— Robert Kennedy
Let us sweep down the walls of oppression and build unity in hope. May we do this by starting with kindness. And may we never ever ever understand estimate the ripple of kindness and compassion. .
