Just the usual Sunday night meal prep... only this week it includes a huge tray of butternut squash as I start my first 'mass' with @rpstrength today so need extra carbs... extra everything in fact!! AKA a shit tonne of food!! 🙈🙈
This is going to be a big mental challenge for me as it's the first time in my life that I'll be aiming to increase my body mass, although in a controlled way, which is the opposite of what I've been working hard on for past 18 months! 🤷🏼♀️
However I have learned SO much about how my body responds to specific macros, food types and nutrients! I know it's going to try every inch of me, but its all part of my bigger goal! This 6 week mass along with hard training over the winter is to build lean muscle mass. We'll follow this with a mini-cut, a maintenance and then a full cut again.
It will be more difficult to stick to my as-unprocessed-as-possible aim with the extra carbs but I'm determined to try! The exception being rye bread and buckwheat!
Lesson 1 - there are not as many carbs in butternut squash as I thought which means I have to eat a LOT to hit my macros! 😂😂😂 Sweet potatoes, I'm coming for ya!!

Been operating off of my “base” macro plan to get acquainted with the timing, required prep, food volume, etc.
Tomorrow morning, I’ll gather a second set of data points and start with the official monitoring of measurements, weight, and so on.

Tomorrow makes 9 months since changing my life for the better. Not only have I lost 10” around my belly button & 20lbs, but I’ve finally found something that makes me enjoy life. Although I don’t do CF at all anymore, I’m so happy I found it because it led me to weightlifting. I am so fricking proud of myself for finally being healthy- mentally & physically.
Because you can never eat too much pizza or too much truffles, even when counting macros! 🤗 Today’s post workout meal was a well deserved truffle pizza, with a dürüm flatbread base to keep the carbs low. Topped with tomato sauce, @eatlean @eatlean_es grated #proteincheese for added lean protein, wild mushrooms, a few slices of my Christmas market haul of truffled cured sausage, truffle mozzarella, truffle essence and truffle oil. Rocked a 25-hour 🚑 shift, slept a bit this afternoon, and now gearing up for a 36-hour shift.
