Loving my new socks from @sayskycph !! (Thanks @jrpalmer_511 !) kicked around a stubborn 10 miles before work today. Was supposed to practice nutrition but opted to practice suffering instead. Went out fasted and took only one gel. After some pretty serious negotiating with my lizard brain I gave it the sugars at mile 3 (I was hoping to last longer and I did explain to the lizard there was only ONE gel). Then had to work on my various mental strategies for the rest of the run to stay focused and (mostly) on pace. Definitely still dealing with some lingering niggles (right post tib; left outside knee today) but the next two weeks of taper should help to clear those up for game day in Dublin. #marathontraining

Boom! That’s my long run done for Dublin. Over 30km and my longest-ever run by more than 4 Miles. (Yes, I ran to a town named Over just for this picture.) Really, really pleased with how it went (thanks in part to some caffeine gels in the second half). I’m now (to my very very big surprise) actually looking forward to race day now. #marathontraining
Went for a 10k run in preparation for the actual event. I nearly died but the views were spectacular 😊🏃♀️👟. As many of you know I am not a gifted runner but had the crazy idea to sign myself and others up(begrudginly), to partake in the Movember 10K run in Bristol. Please feel free to donate money to the Movember charity, who are the charity tackling prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention.
