🤑 We paid off our debt version 1.0 4 months ago (it still doesn't seem real)‼️ We still budgeting religiously and have some huge goals. 🚘 Check out today's blog about something that was a game changer in our financial perspective & keep yourself from getting into debt over the holidays! 👆
Rumo aos 42 Km 🏃🏽♀️
There was a time I would have looked at this picture and picked myself apart. And once that was done, I would have just trash it.
Today, I look at this picture and am so proud of the strong body that carried this chick through 5 marathons. I look and see pure happiness, love, and fierce determination. I’ve come so far from where I once was and continue to grow every single day. 💗
It’s Hug a Runner Day!! So happy that my best friend loves me enough to train for marathons with me!!! He might be faster at the mile, but I have him beat at the half and the full! 😜
But seriously, I am so grateful that he runs WITH me- easy runs, workouts, and everything in between. I am very, very thankful for my runner 🤗
I’m also very, very thankful for all my running friends because they are the best ✨
Bed stretching? Bed yoga? Is it time for bed yet?? Would that I could spend a whole day in bed but than again, I would probably get antsy AF and have to workout or something thus leading to the very reason for this move right here 😆
I love being at the track. Like, REALLY love it and I’m not even sure why. I was not a stand out track athlete. I ran track in middle school and 2 years in high school, was slightly better than average at my small 3A school, ultimately choosing volleyball & soccer over track. I remember striving for 5th place in the 4x400m relay tryout so that I could still go to the track meet (as the alternate) but not have to actually race the 4x400m relay. 🙈 Cross Country was never even on my radar. But something about walking into a stadium to run excites me! There was nothing exciting about my run today, other than just being able to run. I’ve come to the conclusion that track workouts are likely a key factor in my recurring injuries. My form is not great & I often run paces faster than what my coach prescribes, which I’ve always thought was a good thing. Faster is better, right? Not always. I tend to push my body faster than its ready for, and with poor running form, it’s a recipe for injury. I’m pulling back the reins, staying away from speed work for a while and working on my form. But I still love running around the track, even for a slow walk/run workout. ❤️ #runhappy#trackday#marathontraining#optoutside#bostonmarathonqualifier#sunsout

“The only time you should ever look back is to see how far you’ve come”
In 2012 I ran my first full marathon a 4:28...over the past 6 years I kept getting PRs in all the race distances except the marathon. It has been sooo hard!!! But I also never trained the way I did this time around. I always just put in the miles, not the speed and not the recovery.
I also could never mentally commit to the full...it was so daunting and I just wanted to get from the start line to the finish line, no matter what my finish time was.
This time around, training with @run4prs changed everything!
I incorporated all types of speed workouts and really slowed down on the easy runs.
I never imagined that I could have finally had a huge PR in this distance after 6 years. Finally a 4:10 in NYC!!!
I have transformed the way I’m training, the confidence in this distance is so different than it was...back then I wondered “will I be able to finish 26.2” now I wonder “how fast can I finish.” The mind has grown so much in 6 years, I can’t believe how far I’ve come and I’m so excited to see where this transformation goes in 2019! Bring on Marathon # 7...wherever that may be 🤔
