It’s SO EASY to creep up on that Zone 3 heart rate while working out, especially when it’s giving you tons of endorphins... but trying really hard to stay in zone 2 and not get carried away. Week 5 of heart rate training this week and I think I’m seeing a tiny bit of progress.... One thing for sure though : I feel fantastic working out at Zone 2! 😍🤩😎 Never miss a Monday unless it’s your rest day 💕 and I was feelin’ a bit fancy with tonight’s dinner. Went to the track today planning to do the @huskytriathlon track workout... but coach @side.stitch.jake had something else in mind 😏 He suggested doing Yasso 800s. I hadn’t done them in over 3 years but said why not?! They are supposed to estimate your marathon time and seemed like a fun addition.
I went on to avg 3:00 on the dot over the course of the 10 800s and didn’t feel totally depleted! I truly felt like I had more to give. I think that’s a good sign 😉 Who knows what’s going to happen at CIM... but you can bet that I’m gonna lay it all on the line 🔥
a mood when marathon training is in full effect and you’re still struggling to follow the plan 😬 into week 5 of the 18 and ya know I’ve hit my goal miles for the week each week it’s just been a bit of a challenge to break it up into 4 runs 🙄 PLUS, sometimes with life it’s literally impossible!
on the real - does anyone have a favorite running belt/pouch/etc? bought this one off amazon and I f-ing hate it. I’ve only used it once bc it slips down and is super annoying. :-)

Running for my 4th marathon medal 3 weeks ago. That time when your legs feel like they weigh 100+ pounds with more than 20km to go, but you still stick it through till the end no matter how painful it is because you're aiming for something much bigger beyond the race. ☝
