🏖 #airstream life is almost over this summer. It’s time for new adventures @pullman_timi_ama_sardegna . It’s exciting to know #adventuretravel awaits me but I’ll miss my home on the ocean 🌊. 🍉
As I stretch my hips, thighs, and ankles I start reducing stress and fatigue. It gently relaxes the muscles on the front of the body while softly and passively stretching the muscles of the back. Let stress go what be will be.
Our first experience dry camping in a National Park. Sadly we had to run our generator, temps reached 95 degrees (holy RV heat), but my goodness was it beautiful, peaceful, and mostly private. #ashland#mylife#neverstopexploring#askewsvoyage
Move our home, belongings and family 3,000+ miles ✔️☑️ While in route explore the beauty of 6 states in 3 weeks ☑️✔️ WHEW! 😅 WE DID IT!! We ACTUALLY did it without killing each other, although there may or may not of been a few death threats, tell me we're not the only ones haha!? 😂
I took a unintentional week off of Instagram because life was CHAOS! We made it to our new home state of Washington on the 12th and actually didn't have a spot to park our casa because well.. procrastination, pregnancy brain, and the expectation that we'd easily find a spot like we did in California.. everyone said it would be extremely hard to find last minute spots in Cali, but God was faithful and always provided. We didn't want to reserve all of our spots in advance in case we wanted to stay at a location longer, I also had no service at most locations so even if we wanted to, we couldn't call.
Anyway, July RVing in Washington is no joke and every place we called either had no spots or had 1 day available. The military rv parks didn't even have anything available until the next week. 🤦Talk about feeling defeated. Thankfully we FINALLY found a spot to park our little home until we could get into a full time spot or over to the military rv park.
Hear me out when I say this.. THIS. WAS. THE. WORST. rv park we've ever stayed at. Maybe we were spoiled at our others but.. It's wasn't even a "RV PARK" it was more like a "RV PARKING LOT", with gravel no trees, no amenities.. NONE. They had a small grassy area but a sign that said "no dogs" 🤦 and the worst part was how close we were to other RVs. ( Picture in my travel highlights ) We were still grateful we had a spot and trying to be as positive as possible but it sucked. 😩
Then a miracle happend, literally no other explanation!!! I'll share that tomorrow ❤️
Today’s goal - install overhead cabinetry and kitchen base’s. We installed one of the overhead cabinets in the dark out of pure excitement to see how they looked. We are stoked!!! Down the road we will make a tutorial on Ikea furniture mods for your sprinter van. Lots of customizing involved to get the furniture to work, plus a little intimidating when the first thing you have to do is start hacking pieces off. 🤯 Let’s get it! 🛠
When it comes to living in a tiny space with kids, the one thing that immediately jumps to mind is the question of how many toys they really need to have. I think there isn’t one perfect answer that fits all, and it definitely is a process. At least it was for us, and still is. When we moved into our RV for the first time, we were downsizing from a three bedroom house. We got rid of a lot of stuff, and so what we brought with us into our motorhome seemed like very little. But it definitely was not! Over time, we kept on downsizing more and more, and I think after almost two years of living in our motorhome, we’re finally down to what we actually need and what is comfortable for our family. Our kids don’t have a lot of toys, but they have enough; all the stuff that’s in here is the stuff they like and play with all the time. Plus, they have their imagination that helps them to stay busy and content as you can see in the pictures above. Not to mention that they spend a good amount of time outside too, enjoying the fresh air and burning off some energy. So for those of you who worry that you’ll break your kids by not filling your tiny space with various toys we’re told our kids need to have in order to thrive - don’t worry, your kids will be just fine 😉
