New coilovers for this CRX. The car had Tokico Blue shocks to start, so there was no longer the factory bracket required to swap over and line up the shock fork, or hold the brake line. So, we first drilled the bottom of the Tokico to release the internal pressure, and then we cut the weld which holds the bracket onto the shock. After a little persuasion and finesse, the bracket was able to slide onto the new Koni Sport. Problem solved!
First day of Chemo with having CBD oil and I’d say it was a success!!
Arsenic is no joke and when you get it pumped into your body you normally don’t feel so hot after. •
Today I waked away with just a headache and took a couple more drops before I left the hospital and by the time I was home it seemed to have subsided A LOT!!
We will see how the month goes because the more I get the worse I feel :/ but I’m hopeful that this will work! .
Great weekend racing banana nut muffin. My best pax finish yet and just fast enough to trophy in x class :D @muffinracing builds his muffins fast ;) photo by the great @brendansobers #y49#ef#honda#scca#rmsolo#crxsi
My first and only dry run on day 2 at 2018 SCCA solo Nationals. Was a little upset that everyone but the co-drivers in this heat got 2 dry runs considering I usually cut 1-2 seconds after my first run, but that's racing.
Sadly this will likely be my last time driving this car. Had a good run it it this year and was finally able to get somewhat consistently second in B Street and got into enough of a groove to get about top 10 PAX out of 100-150 people a few times at our local events. Clearly we needed a little bit more (fresher tires and sorted out set up) to do well at Nationals.
We'll see what I will drive next year. Might start including more track days and time trials too.
Thanks again to @anoop_choong,
@reith1501, all the guys at @zohr for the support this year. Big thanks to Russ for letting beat on his car and helping me grow as a driver. Thanks to all my friends that supported me along the way. Finally, biggest thanks to my wife who cheers me on, supports me, and encouraged me the most to finally take the step this year to race at Nationals.
Best run from yesterday. My movements are painfully slow, but I swear this is a 45.770. 12th/93 overall, 2nd in class, 12th pax
A bunch of areas that could be improved, some being the 1st left hand turnaround, as well as being more aggressive on the back slalom... a spin earlier in the morning killed my confidence a bit
New helmet since my old one expired. This @hjc.motorsports helmet is awesome! The custom pin striping came out pretty decent. Should be at #scca on Sunday in the new Si for a stock shakedown. #becauseracecar#aem#dimesperformance
