We want to congratulate graduating senior, Katherine Brady, for her time training with us and for her future plans on continuing dance! Here is what she had to say about her experience with Ann Brodie’s Carolina Ballet: “When I first joined the company of Ann Brodie’s Carolina Ballet, I had no idea what I was getting myself into- I was 12 years old and had never heard of summer intensives before, only seen fouttes on So You Think You Can Dance, and didn’t even know how to do a ballet bun. Though I had minimal experience in ballet, I had never trained or performed at the pre-professional level before and I’d never been exposed to jazz, modern, character, hip hop or really any other style.
The Carolina Ballet family took me under their wing, and over the past 6 years I have made life long friends and have been able to dance with some of the most incredible artists I’ve ever met. I am so beyond thankful for the dedication and love that all of the faculty, staff, and dancers (current and former) have shown me over the years and for the unparalleled opportunities that I have been given with this company that has truly been my family.
Next year, I will be continuing my dance career as a trainee with Columbia City Ballet, but I hope to be around to support this company that has made such a tremendous impact on my life. ❤️” Catch her performing in our Senior Showcase this Saturday, May 26th at 7:30

My first born baby off to his senior prom!
Picture show and say a lot, but there’s nothing like being there and witnessing it in person.
Running the errands, shopping for clothes and shoes and just making sure the night is special.
This year, his last year, I missed all that. Being here in Colorado while he stayed back in California has been very hard for me this passed year, but it’s things like this that make it unbearable.
My parents have been a huge rock for me in making sure he’s being taken care of and I can never thank them enough. I love you Kenneth Bankston and Kathy Bankston. Thank you taking care of my baby in my absence 😪
This little boy still holds my heart!❤️ From his first day of preschool, to starting kindergarten, thinking he was getting so big being a 6th grade graduate...we are now less than a week away until high school graduation!😱👨🏼🎓Even though he’s been at college for a semester and already into his summer term, it still doesn’t seem real that he graduated early. I’m grateful he can be here to participate in the graduation ceremony!☺️ I know the tears will be nonstop when I watch him walk across the stage in his cap and gown, and even more so as we take pics with all his friends as they say goodbye.😭 I’ve already been teary-eyed all week feeling a spectrum of emotions like I felt when we moved him up to Washington. Change is hard, but change is so good! We are very thankful for all the great friends, teachers, coaches, and parents that Cammon has felt support from during his 12 years of school. It takes a village!😊 btw who knew Cammon’s T-shirt would predict the future...state champ and then wearing crimson and gray!🤷🏼♀️👊🏼😉 #thebestisyettobe#dreambig#graduation#lehihigh#senior#lehifootball#wazzu#wishicouldfreezetime#gogetit#makeithappen#loveyouforever#likeyouforalways @cam2_wazzu
Greycourt Park is an awesome location for portraits, not just because of the physical structure, but also because of the way light bounces around off the stone. It's easy to see why so many #mhs seniors choose it for pre-prom photos, and I love it for senior photos. These are some of my favorites from last night's shoot for my nephew and his friends before they left for #prom#prom2018

One more step closer to graduation! My son is almost there! Today we celebrated his Senior Farewell. I am so proud of you Kahmal! The benefits of teaching at the school your son attends. #SeniorFarewell#ClassOf2018#Senior#AllWhite
Food Thoughts: The body needs less of it as our metabolism slows, but the taste buds still want what they want. It's a constant duel between appetite and scale. My partial solution is eat what I want but less of it. Dinner on a salad plate let's me enjoy without feeling deprived. New house rule is no second servings no matter how delicious! How do you deal with a slower burn? This #silvercrown foodie is excited to learn your secret of staying in shape (and keeping our shape) with the passing of time. #food#silvercrowncrowd#senior#metabolism#balance
