It’s crazy how fast things can change when it comes to my health. Sunday I went to the ER because the strong antibiotics I’m on are making me really shaky, nauseous, and anxious. CT scan showed that my belly was full, so I need to clear it (this is typical with Cystic Fibrosis) I had a blockage back in 2014 and it was a miserable, painful experience. I can’t help but worry about that happening again, so I’m filled with anxiety right now. Along with waiting for the results about the nodule on my lung. I know I’m usually full of positivity, but today I have to admit that I’m finding it difficult. It seems with my health, everything happens at once and it happens quick. I’m doing my best to look at this as just a road block and not steps backward. Hopefully I’ll be able to update with some good news soon 🙏🏼💛

Mid week! Switch it up! I love to find new routes to take my dogs on their walk. You’ll never know what exciting things you’ll run into and they can sniff. We walked passed this graffiti wall on a new route and I had to get a pic! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Who else loves cool graffiti walls?

What is pet therapy?
Pet therapy is a guided interaction between a person and a trained animal. It also involves the animal’s handler. The purpose of pet therapy is to help someone recover from or cope with a health problem or mental disorder.
Dogs and cats are most commonly used in pet therapy. However, fish, guinea pigs, horses, and other animals that meet screening criteria can also be used. The type of animal chosen depends on the therapeutic goals of a person’s treatment plan.
Pet therapy is also referred to as animal-assisted therapy (AAT). AAT is sometimes confused with animal-assisted activities (AAA). AAT is a formal, structured set of sessions that helps people reach specific goals in their treatment. AAA involves more casual meetings in which an animal and its handler interact with one or more people for comfort or recreation.
