it is a yearly affair at House of Sticky Bones @morganfieldssingapore for christmas! great place for reunions and gatherings along with sumptuous roasts & christmas delights. 😋
newly added Orange Marmalade Glazed Whole Gammon Ham, Barbecue Beef Rib and slow-roasted Roast Beef Ribeye are definitely showstoppers! pre-order 3 days in advance for them when you make your dining reservation.

sweet ending with the Black Forest Lava Cake ($16.90++) is recommended especially when it is so luxurious with the flow of dark cherry chocolate ganache.

One of the reasons we visit Córdoba is also to dine in the much acclaimed El Papagayo, whose owner and Chef Javier Rodriguez @elpapagayo69 is a good friend of ours. We were not disappointed.
El Papagayo is a restaurant that was a converted alley way, thus its only 2.4m in width, 32m long. Ernesto Bedmar @ebedmararchitects was the Singapore-based Argentinian architect that cleverly optimized this “hole” into a practical and efficient space that is now a restaurant with 40 covers. We were treated to a well curated 11 course degustation menu. Spring produce and flavours set the tone for the first few courses - light, colourful and tantalising before we delve into the more savoury mains. Duck and a 120 days aged beef were the superstars of the main series, plated and served with colours that remind me of the rugged landscapes of the country. Before we tumble deeper into a potential food coma, Chef Javier cleverly stimulates our senses back to life again with balanced flavours of sweet, bitter and tartness derived from the apricot, coconut, lime, pineapple desserts that followed. Truly a sublime gastronomic dinner I will remember for a long time!

Steamboat - I love it! And today we shared this fabulous hands-on dining activity with our non-local friends. Did I mention I love meals where everyone gets involved 😁. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Steamboat, is a Chinese version of fondue but a simmering pot of soup stock is the vessel into which thinly slice meats, vegetables, mushrooms, tofu, seafood & Yong Tau Foo (assortment of fishballs, vegetables and beancurd products filled with fish meat or mince pork or both) are cooked in at the table and then eaten with a dipping sauce(s). Perfect for cooler weather or a cold winter’s day. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dessert coming up in a separate post, also homemade but by the hubs 😃
[Blossom Restaurant] - Chilled Mango Puree with Pomelo and Sago ($10). I could taste the freshness of the mango puree, it is definitely made freshly from real mango with surprise pops from the pomelo's pulp. A sweet and refreshing dessert to wrap up the meal.
