There will be bad days and they will end. While you're struggling with mental health issues you'll find yourself on a long journey of recovery. You'll bleed. You'll suffer. You'll feel like the loneliest person in the whole world. You'll feel sadness you've never felt before. Despair, anger, heartbreak, vulnerability, empathy, they will all be a part of your journey. Some days will be so dark you'll be afraid they'll never end. That things will never be better. But they will. No feeling is final.
Allow yourself to feel everything that is going on inside of you. Don't fight the feeling. Don't fight a fight with yourself that you're never gonna win.
Be brave. Try it. It put everything into perspective for me. I still have a long way to go but there is progress!
Kisses to everyone. <3
A short reminder of the fact that there is good inside bad things, always.
I had the opportunity to shadow at a local hospice yesterday, and it was a very touching experience. An older woman invited me into her room to sit down & have a chat. She simply wanted me there to listen. What struck me was her calmness in saying, "This is my last stop." I let that sit in for moment after I left her room. How many places do we dash off to daily, run late, arrive early, complain about never having enough time? Often, and without a thought right? The thing is, at any one of those moments it could be our "last stop". This woman had a ton of love around her & lived a full life. I thank her for allowing me to listen to her story. #writinginzen#loveislove#sharethelove#shareyourstory#writerslife
