This is a little bit of a different transformation Tuesday for you... Recently I shared how I have been working on recovering from B.E.D (binge eating disorder). I was (I’m using was because I am working my hardest to recover from this and I am no longer this person) someone who would really find myself eating everything and anything when I was alone. If no one was around and there was junk food, or leftovers or just anything I would binge. EVEN WHEN I WAS FULL. It wouldn’t matter I would just keep eating and eating and yes I would feel guilty but I couldn’t control myself.
One of the biggest times I would find myself doing this is when I was traveling for work. Nobody around, a hotel room to myself, NO ON WILL KNOW.
But with my job becoming more and more on the road I knew I really need to learn how to control this. I have told myself that I need to find other alternatives so I found myself pushing play on my workouts (no longer using being on the road as an excuse), going out and exploring the areas I’m in or just walking the hotels, and making better choices when I order meals.
This isn’t going to be easy and it comes with time but with how much I’ve been on the road lately and have seen my progress and seen that I have been able to take control of my mind and body.
And side note...thank you to all who reached out when I shared my story. I haven been having so many genuine conversations with so many women because they felt as though they had no one to talk to about their ED. So please, if you struggle with ED know that I am here to listen and to talk. Let’s fight this road to recovery together.
With traveling last week, this week, next week, and the week after that I really gave myself some tough love and and making myself not miss any workouts. I brought my all natural pree with me, I have my daily healthy shake (just ordered two boxes of limited edition pumpkin 🎃) and all I need is my laptop or phone to press play. Tonight’s my last night in Buffalo before I head to Syracuse tomorrow. There is no excuses when you make your health your number priority.
Yesterday I drove out to Buffalo to start my week of traveling all over the state for conferences. We’re staying in a completely remodeled psychiatric hospital. At first I was a little creeped out but honestly, it’s so cool to see all the architecture of the building new and old. I could walk these halls forever!
