I still can’t believe we got a few inches of snow in November ⛄️❄️. Good thing that I bought this winter jacket while I was in Norway✌️.
As winter arrives and you trade in your summer wardrobe for a warmer one🧣, take some inventory of your skincare wardrobe as well. To stay healthy, skin needs more than hats, gloves and coats as layers of protection from the cold weather.
In the winter, it’s all about extra m o i s t u r i z i n g. The cold weather contributes to dryness (as does the heat from radiators) and wind can chap skin too. You may want to switch to a gentle, non-foaming cleanser and use hydrating masks. Hot water can dehydrate your skin. If you keep your water lukewarm, it will protect your skin’s natural barrier.
Season’s change can bring about adjustments to your skin care and maybe the products you use, but it shouldn’t require any major overhaul of your routine. I actually try not to change everything all at once!
Furthermore, remember you don’t have to wait for the snow to switch up your skin care routine. If your skin changes – due to the environment, hormones or anything else – it’s totally fair to adjust your routine in kind.
Whar are your winter-skin concerns?

Taking things seriously here!! Thanks to the amazing @wisephotographygc for some incredible new pics
Look at this skin! This is me as a new mum aged 26 and I still had acne!
I've suffered from 'bad' skin most of my life and only in recent years it has settled down. What works for me doesn't necessarily work for everyone. However, one thing that WILL work is finding a reputable and qualified dermal clinic to manage your skin.
Looking back now at my 26 year old self I would say; 1) stop wasting your money on makeup to cover-up your skin - people can see through it. 2) Put on a broad-spectrum SPF 50+ daily - yes every day, DO IT! 3) Seek some professional advice and treatments - listen to them and work with them. Luckily @skindepthdermatology has you covered.
What a Duo this pair is!! 👀 Our serum helps firm skin, block inflammation, repair sundamage, decrease wrinkles and discoloration. While our moisturizer uses a combination of Marine Collagen, Hyaluronic Acid, and Vit C Ester, you get amazing moisture that adjusts to your skin's needs! It doesn't rest on top of your skin like most moisturizers and the efficacy improves with daily use 😉 Also, acts as a makeup primer! 😍❤️
Just picked up this @larocheposayusa cleanser from @target and it’s everything I could have hoped for and more! It was around $15, but the bottle is giant and I think this will last for quite a while. Tempted to try other products from this brand, do you have any recommendations?
it’s my first #skinemmies2018 entry: it is also one my recent empties
▫️ 1st cleanse @hadalabomalaysia softening and whitening face wash
i’m lucky and grateful to have found my best cleanser i’ve ever tried when i was about to graduate high school so no harm done due to allergy reaction to any skincare. my skin was unkempt and i was insecure most of the time back then, i was acne-prone.
it’s affordable and effective. its pH is suitable for normal skin pH. cheaper than the other brand i’ve tried #brokestudentskincare ; tried #cetaphil and currently #larocheposay softening foaming gel. i do not feel cleansed after using both of these. it takes me a while to wash the residue of LRP. i usually use cetaphil in my #amroutine however i still prefer hada labo for any routine.
i would repurchase it, (but they don’t sell it here in egypt) and due to the problem living in this place with no proper address i just have to stick with LRP for the time being.
i would like to try #glossier milky jelly cleanser next after LRP, i’ve heard a lot of good reviews on them. what do you think about it? would love to know your opinions.
