This has got to be one of my all time favorite recipes. I really don't repeat too many recipes very often, so the fact that I've made this Slow Cooker Korean Beef about a billion times in the last couple months should definitely tell you something about how awesome I think it is! No artificial sugar, no corn starch or other coating on the beef, no junk at all. So you can feel good eating it!
Here's how I make it:
1 lb sirloin steak
1 pear, peeled & cut into chunks
1 inch fresh ginger, peeled & cut into chunks
4 cloves garlic, peeled & diced
2 Tbs coconut aminos
2 Tbs honey
2 Tbs toasted sesame oil
Trim any excess fat from the steaks and then slice into thin strips. Put into a crock pot and season with salt.
In a food processor, blend together the rest of the ingredients & pour over the sliced steak & mix up to coat.
Cook on high about 4-5 hours...its gonna look 'soupy' and gross for the first 4 hours, but then everything starts to caramelize and get super delicious...so if yours doesn't look like this after the 5 hours, let it keep on going! #fittosavor#themotivationfoundation
Shades of the CROCKPOT episode of "This is Us", my slow cooker just started sparking; I did get to it before it was on fire. 🤤 The good news? The ham was done. #slowcooker
Full disclosure: *Totally my fault - cord was caught under lid.
