Today is #worldfoodday. Food security is endemic in South Africa, with as many as 63% of all children living below the poverty line. The Lunchbox Fund is proud to partner with @shopriteSA to #fighthunger. Together we #actforchange and strive to end hunger in South Africa.
We all know meditation is important, right? But sometimes it’s hard to sit down and meditate on your own, we know! That’s why we’re excited to tell you we’ve created our first guided audio meditation for ya! It’s a grounding meditation super helpful for times of travel, turbulence, anxiety, or mental spazziness haha. We’re releasing it soon for FREE to everyone on our mailing list! So make sure you go to our website and sign up for our occasional awesome emails to be among the first to receive it once it’s ready!
I get a lot of feedback that I inspire through my positivity. My friends - being positive, loving, and joyous is a choice.
My heart breaks everyday, and I let it, but when I’m fighting for a better world, whether it be through making videos, doing outreach, or whatever else, I chose to do it through love.
A few years ago I used to be negative but I found there were 2 problems with that. First, I found that people didn’t want me to lead them, and second, my life sucked.
Chose love and positivity, for you, the people around you, the animals, and the world.
I love you! ❤️
TIME DONE CONCERT...💪🏾
8 million Californians and 70 million people in this country have a conviction, and the 4,800 legal restrictions in California (and 48,000 nationally) block them from opportunities for employment, housing, education and even participating in their own child’s development – all things that could help people achieve economic security and family stability. This undermines the health and safety of communities.
The concert will also feature an Art Walk photo gallery showing how children and families are impacted by the persisting legal obstacles from convictions, and a “Wall of Barriers” that demonstrates the extent of the thousands of legal restrictions Californians continue to face after they have completed their sentences and terms of past convictions.
Words cannot express how grateful I am to see the completion of this project. I literally immersed myself in the work to get this done. I am the honored Executive Director of The Act Out Foundation Inc. ❤️✊🏾

Today is World Student Day so we taking a minute to give a shoutout to the kids and adults in school. 38% of students leave college in their first year due to financial, work and family obligations. 61% of students in college seek counseling for anxiety, 49% for depression, 45% for stress and 28% for academic performance. More than 40% of college students have felt more than an average amount of stress in the last year and almost 73% of students living with a mental health condition experienced a mental health crisis on campus. Many students choose not to seek help because of the stigma surrounding mental health. So today is about you, those of you who fight everyday through your mental illnesses and get to your classes. It’s also for those of you who don’t suffer through these problems. Being a student can be stressful, we know, we’re also all students, but you can do it. Keep going you’re almost there!
