Why Deficits are my FAVORITE:
1️⃣Increased Leg Strength and Drive➡️ Helps increase the use of the legs and hips due to the increased range of motion. Also improves joint flexion of the ankles, knees, and hips.
2️⃣Help with Set-Up➡️ Definitely helped get my mobility better, increase my balance, and control of the the bar strengthening my leverages.
3️⃣Posterior Chain Strength➡️ Increased posterior chain strength means greater leg drive, stronger lower back, and a general ability to promote more force of the ground.
4️⃣Greater Time Under Tension (TUT)➡️Longer ranges of motion inherently increase the Time Under Tension. Especially when done with tempos at a slow pace or heavier pulls that involve a long and slow “grind”. ⬇️⬇️⬇️⬇️

Snippet from today’s back day. 1st one is my last set of deadlifts which was 310 for 7. The second one once you 🔜 is my stiff leg at 185 for 20. This kicked my ass but it was a good workout nonetheless with my lifting partner @dylankekacs regardless that this was way earlier than we both usually train

Tried a new variation of pause squats yesterday. Have you ever tried it this way??? It was my first time and I definitely feel sore as fuck from yesterday even tho the volume wasn't high. These pause squats took everything outta me 3x2 w/495.
